Reset Nest Yale Lock Code without Master Code

3. Locate the reset button (blue) on the left side of the PCB cable connector (check the image for reference).
4. While holding down the reset button (for at least 3 seconds), put the batteries back in. Then, let go of the reset button. You’ll hear the lock respond with a friendly “Hi from Yale and Nest.“
5. Put the battery cover back in place, and you’re all set.

Reset Yale Assure Lock Code without Master Code

To perform a factory reset on the Yale Assure Lock models YRD216, YRD226, YRL236 and YRL256, follow these steps:

1. Remove the battery cover and take out the batteries.

To initiate a factory reset on the Yale Assure Lock models YRD216, YRD416, YRD226, YRD620, YRD622, YRD256, and YRD456, follow these steps:

1. Take the battery cover off and remove all the batteries.
2. Take off the interior escutcheon to access the reset button.
3. Look for the reset button; you’ll find it positioned next to the PCB cable connector.
4. As you put the batteries back in, press and hold down the reset button for at least 3 seconds.
5. Release the reset button.
6. Reattach the battery cover.

Reset Yale Real Living Lock Code without Master Code

The Yale Real Living series has three different models: the Yale Real Living push button deadbolt YRD210, the Yale Real Living key-accessible touchscreen deadbolt YRD240, and the Yale Real Living key-free push button YRD110.

Here is how to factory reset the Yale Real Living deadbolt YRD210/YRD240:

1. Take off the interior escutcheon to access the reset button.
2. Find the reset button above the cable connector for the PCB cable.

1. Take off the battery cover.
2. Disconnect the batteries.
3. While holding down the reset button for at least 3 seconds, put the batteries back in place.
4. Now, release the reset button and put the battery cover back on.

Reset Yale Smart Living Lock Code without Master Code

Here’s how to factory reset the Yale Smart Living Keyfree Connected smart lock without the master code:

1. Slide the black plastic cover upwards on the lock inside the door and remove the inner cover.
2. Take out one battery from within the lock, and then remove the module.
3. Remove the two screws located at the back to detach the rear cover.
4. Now, remove the cable from the lock’s exterior half.
5. Press and hold both the [I] button and [P] button simultaneously. While holding these buttons down, insert the battery.
6. Then wait about 10 seconds, and you’ll hear a two-tone sound.
7. You can now release the [I] and [P] buttons.
8. As soon as you hear the two-tone sound, attach the cable to the lock’s exterior.
9. In response, the lock will make a three-tone ascending sound, followed by the phrase, “Welcome to the Yale digital world.” This will reset the master code to 123456.

Reset Yale Lock using Yale Access App

To reset your Yale lock using the Yale Access app, follow these steps. This method doesn’t require a master code. Keep in mind that you need a Bluetooth (BLE) connection for this process.
