Snapchat Streak Not Sending? Here’s How to Fix It Fast!

by Lokesh Naik

Snapchat streaks have become a daily habit for a lot of people. It feels good to open the app, send a quick snap, and keep that little fire emoji burning. Some friends even compete to see who can get the highest number. It is fun, it keeps the connection going, and honestly, it can get a little addictive.

But sometimes, out of nowhere, Snapchat just acts weird. Many users are facing issues with the Snapchat streaks, and suddenly, the streak button stopped working. They could take a snap, but it just wouldn’t send. That’s the kind of problem that makes you go, “What’s going on?” especially when you’ve been sending snaps every single day without missing.

If this is happening to you too, it can be really annoying. You’re doing everything right, but your streaks just won’t send. So what’s the deal? Why does Snapchat do this? Let’s figure out what’s going on and how to fix it. Step-by-step guide to fix Snapchat streak not sending issue

Why Are My Streaks Not Sending on Snapchat?

There could be a few reasons why your Snapchat streaks are not going through. First, make sure your Snapchat app is up to date. Also, if your internet is slow or you’re in an area with a weak signal, snaps might not send properly. That happens a lot when you’re trying to send to many people at once.

Another thing to check is if you’re sending the same snap to over 100 people. Snapchat has a limit, and if you try sending to more than 100 people at the same time, it might stop the snap from going out. So if you’re doing that, try sending in smaller batches. Sometimes, the problem is because of the app’s cache or a server-side issue. Screenshot of Snapchat error message when streak is not sending, showing sending

Use VPN App

One thing that actually worked for me when my snaps weren’t sending was using a VPN. I downloaded a free VPN app from the Play Store, turned it on, and then opened Snapchat. Right after that, my snaps started going through. You can try resending your snap once the VPN is active. This simple step has worked not just for me, but for a lot of other users too. This issue usually happens when there’s a problem on Snapchat’s server side.

Just a small tip — only use the VPN when you need to send snaps. Don’t keep it on all the time, because Snapchat doesn’t always like constant VPN use, and it might even lead to issues like a ban. If that happens, here’s a guide on how to unban your Snapchat account.

Check Internet Connection

Make sure your internet connection is strong and stable. If your WiFi is slow or your mobile data isn’t working properly, Snapchat might have trouble sending or receiving snaps. Sometimes it looks like the snap is going through, but it just gets stuck and never actually sends.

This kind of issue is pretty common when the signal is weak or keeps dropping. Try switching between WiFi and mobile data to see if that helps.

Update the Snapchat App

It’s a good idea to check if your Snapchat app is up to date. Sometimes, the reason snaps won’t send is because the app is running an older version that has bugs or glitches. Developers often release updates to fix these kinds of problems reported by users of the app in earlier versions and improve how the app works.

Just open the Play Store if you’re on Android or the App Store if you’re using an iPhone. Search for Snapchat and see if there’s an “Update” button next to it. If there is, tap it and let the app update. Once it’s done, open Snapchat again and try sending your snap.

Clear Snapchat App Cache

If Snapchat isn’t sending your snaps, clearing the app’s cache might help. Sometimes, the app stores too much temporary data, which can cause glitches like this.

To clear the cache, open Snapchat and tap your Bitmoji in the top left corner. Then, go to the Settings menu and scroll down until you see the “Clear Cache” option under the “ACCOUNT ACTIONS” section. Tap it, and Snapchat will clear out unnecessary data. After that, try sending your snap again — it might just do the trick! Clear cache option on Snapchat

Log Out and Log in Again

If nothing else seems to work, try logging out and logging back into Snapchat. To log out, tap on your Bitmoji or profile in the top left corner, then go to Settings. Scroll all the way down and you’ll see the “Log Out” option. Tap it, then confirm that you want to sign out. Snapchat log out

Afterward, just log back in with your usual details and check if you can send snaps again.

Uninstall and Reinstall the App

The last thing you can do if the issue is not resolved is to uninstall and reinstall Snapchat. Just uninstall the Snapchat app from your phone, then head to the Play Store or App Store to download it again. Once it’s reinstalled, log back in and check if you can send snaps now.
